Nathan Cottam

Nathan Cottam founded Mannakin Theater & Dance in 2013 and has led the company in performances at the SF War Memorial and Performing Arts Center, SF Legion of Honor, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Salt Lake City’s Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center and on tours throughout the United States and the Republic of Serbia. Nathan has spent thousands of hours in dance studios both as a teacher and student. He holds a Master of Fine Art from the prestigious University of Arizona School of Dance and is the only non-Serbian dancer to perform the lead role of the Singer in the Serbian National Ballet’s signature work “Who is Singing Over There?” based on Serbian film Ko to Tamo Peva?
Traci Finch

Traci Finch lives in San Francisco, CA and currently assistant directs and dances with Mannakin Theater & Dance. Traci spent ten years in New York City, dancing with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, New Chamber Ballet, and CelloPointe. Recent projects have included guesting with Les Grands Ballet Canadiens; dancing in Signals from the West, Bay Area Artists in Conversation with Merce Cunningham at 100; and Marco Pelle’s T+I at Lake Tahoe Dance Festival. She has performed classical and neoclassical ballets with Neglia Ballet in Buffalo, NY. Originally from Utah, Traci graduated from Brigham Young University with her BA in Dance.
Traci has choreographed work presented in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Lake Tahoe. She currently teaches at en Avant Dance in East Palo Alto and is guest faculty member at Tahoe Youth Ballet. She has taught around the United States in New York, Utah, California, Nevada, New Jersey, and Montana.
Erik Wagner

Erik Wagner is an international dance artist, educator, and choreographer based in San Francisco, California. He performed with the San Francisco Ballet, Béjart Ballet Lausanne and the Stadttheater Bern, in Switzerland.
Erik joined the faculty of the LINES Ballet Training Program in 2012. He guest lectured at Stanford University from 2013-2015, during which time he performed in Jerome Bel’s The Show Must Go On. In 2018, Dance Magazine live-streamed his class, and in 2019, Dance Teacher Magazine published his thoughts on teaching. Other teaching credits include Wayne McGregor Random Dance, Les Ballet Jazz du Montreal, Basel Ballet, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Smuin Ballet, Oakland Ballet, Complexions, Cedar Lake, University of South Florida, Gibbs High School for the Performing Arts, and internationally with the ProART Festival in Prague, Czech Republic.

The mission of Mannakin Theater & Dance is to expand the world of the performing arts by inviting new individuals and demographics to rich and exciting experiences in the theater seats, inside the classroom and learning studio, and underneath the stage lights. We believe that by opening the tent of the premier performing arts to the broadest swath of people and cultures possible that new audiences are created, fresh voices are heard and all people are lifted as ships on a rising tide, to ever greater heights of human creativity and achievement.
